Our new preschool music station features four popular instruments in one unit: a pentatonic soprano metallophone built back to back with a pentatonic soprano marimba (playing one octave higher), a rain wheel at one end and a set of two tongue drums at the other giving several young musicians a chance to play together.
We built the set pictured below, along with a set of tongue drums, for the Shriners’ Children’s Hospital in South Carolina. They were installed on a roof top playground and may be moved to change the configuration of the site.
The Kalimba with Braille notation is one of 4 instruments we built for a barrier free playground in Invermere, BC. All of the instruments have our Braille notation designed for playgrounds.
